Hire Web Developer, Web Firm, or a Freelancer

Is your company undecided on how they should proceed to receive the best possible return on investment?  Everything comes down to how much money each scenario is going to cost your company and the value in return.

Hiring a web developer

A full time web developer is going to cost the most out of all three options.  The average in-house developers salary is between $40k to $70k and this is not including payroll tax and benefits that you will have to offer.  The upside of having your own in-house developer is that when you need something done it can be done instantly.  Or if your companies website is maintenance heavy having an in-house developer may be the best way to go.

Hiring a web firm

A professional web development firm will be able to provide positive results costing a lot less than an in-house web developer.  Web firms have a team of designers, developers, and programmers on staff to be able to complete any project you can think of.  When going with a web firm you get a satisfaction guarantee behind all work completed.

Hiring a freelancer

A website freelancer is real close to the equivalent to hiring a web developer in-house.  The benefits of a freelancer is that they are your own personal web developer without having to pay them a yearly salary or benefits.  With a freelancer, you get the skill level of hiring a web firm but at a percentage of the cost.   Make sure when hiring a freelancer you check to see their experience level and education.  If you find the right freelancer your company will greatly benefit, but the key is finding the right person.
